Speakers:
In March 2026, China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (5YP) was formally approved. The Plan places
stronger emphasis on high-quality development, with a particular focus on innovation, advanced
technologies, and high-end manufacturing.
What does the 15th Five-Year Plan imply
for China and Europe? How would it affect EU- China relations, in particular, how might it
shape the economic and technological cooperation and competition between China and the EU,
especially against the backdrop of the EU’s evolving competitiveness and economic security
agenda?
